The Battery Date Stamp why? Did you know that all batteries have a date stamp on? I have recently come across there are many people selling second-hand batteries on Gumtree, Anazi, OLX and many other advertisements. If you click on any of these names you will see that those batteries are much cheaper.
People are told that this is new batteries.
The question that I ask myself how is it possible to sell a battery cheaper than the distributor. Batteries have a lifespan and are hazardous. Stop supporting secondhand battery sales to the public. Have you ever seen a battery explode?
On the image below, is a picture taken of a battery with the following date stamp on the battery. The battery date stamp is 5GR15, let me explain the stamp:
- 5 = The year of manufacturing this battery manufacturing year is 2015.
- G = Battery manufacturing month is in Month 5 May
- R = Country made or Battery Name in this instance R = Royal
- 15 Day of Manufacturing
To summarise this specific battery manufactured date is 2015/05/15 for Royal Battery distributors.=”1/2″][us_single_image image=”4117″ size=”full”]=”1/2″]
